 Born in Sopot, Poland, lives in the UK since 1981. Interested in art from the formative years she frequented art workshops organised by artists associations in her home town. Painting regularly since childhood she took part in many art competitions and won, among others, countrywide competition for a painting, which represented Poland in an international exhibition in India. She also won three times an art competition organised by the Polish National Bank (PKO). She was due to embark to study fine art in Gdansk Art Academy in 1981, however due to the Marshal Law she stayed in the UK, finishing Law Degree, but never stopped creating. In 1996 she won a first price for designing a display for a marketing and promotion campaign organised by Compass Group and Virgin Holidays.
She studied Glass and Ceramics as well as Art Curating in London’s Central Saint Martins, and recently completed her studies in printmaking techniques and web design.
She moved to beautiful Westerham in Kent with her husband (also an artist) in 2007. In her paintings she experiments with different tequniques. From paintings inspired by Turner landscapes or seascapes to animals painted on mulberry tissue (her own technique). From traditional to concept and back, she uses different styles to best reflect the mood of the image or the message that she wants to convey.
Having had nearly 50 exhibitions, she exhibited, among others, in the Mall Galleries, Landmark Art Centre, Campbells of London, POSK, as well as a number of galleries in Torun, Poland. Although curating for hersel and her husband for a number of years, in 2009 she was entrusted to co-curate one exhibition ('Tree'), as well as organising a group exhibition for the Association of Polish Artists in Great Britain to commemorate (with a modern twist) the famous Polish artists from the beggining of the XX century ('Legacy').
